The Black & White Ball Gala 2024 served as the premier annual fundraiser for the LGBTQ Center Long Beach, dedicated to sustaining its culturally responsive programs and services that advocate for equality among LGBTQ+ individuals. All proceeds from the event directly supported the Center's mission, benefiting over 25,000 clients annually.
The sophisticated and celebratory evening took place at The Westin Long Beach, located at 333 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90802, utilizing both the Grand Ballroom Lobby and Grand Ballroom. The schedule included a VIP Cocktail Hour, a General Cocktail Hour with a silent auction, the main Black and White Ball program with award presentations (including the Community Icon and Ellen Ward Leadership Award), and an After Party.
Island Pitch had a notable presence at the gala, where their Masked Crewsader made a spectacular debut. The Masked Crewsader wore a stunning 3D-printed mask brought to life with software and augmented reality coding by Island Pitch, with the immersive design created by EVR XR. The Masked Crewsader not only wowed the crowd but also made a meaningful donation on behalf of Island Pitch.
