The Black & White Gala 2025 is the LGBTQ Center Long Beach's premier annual gala, held during Pride Month at Hotel Maya, located at 700 Queensway Drive, Long Beach, CA 90802. The event celebrates the strength and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community and honors local champions with prestigious Icon Awards for their leadership, advocacy, and commitment to equity. As the Center's primary annual fundraiser, all proceeds directly support its mission and benefit over 10,000 clients annually.
The gala's schedule includes a VIP Cocktail Hour from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jardin de Palmeras, followed by a General Cocktail Hour and a silent auction from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lagunita Pavilion. The main program runs from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, also at Lagunita Pavilion. Complimentary valet parking is available, and while traditional black and white attire is encouraged, guests are welcome to dress in a way that reflects their personal style.
Island Pitch had a notable presence at the gala, where their Masked Crewsader made a debut. The Masked Crewsader wore a 3D-printed mask brought to life with software and augmented reality coding by Island Pitch, with the immersive design created by EVR XR. The Masked Crewsader also made a meaningful donation on behalf of Island Pitch.
